I literally just walked out the door without even being seated. We waited 7 minutes. I'm giving 2 stars because the food here is really good. The service has been hit or miss. About a month ago we waited almost 15 minutes to be seated. No one even looks at the entrance. My husband went to look for someone to seat us, but the only people were behind the bar. It seemed like they looked at us, but who could even tell. That place is huge! At this point, we probably won't go back.

We have loved Morelia's for years, but our experience at this location is just not good. The food is lovely, but the service is slow and confused. We arrived on 12:30 on a Saturday and they had no bartender. It took 30 minutes to get a drink. They forgot multiple parts of our orders. It's really sad because the waitstaff are friendly. I'm not sure why they can't get service together.

We tried this location a few months ago for their Sunday buffet. There was so much to choose from and it was all delicious! The menudo was top notch, and there was even mexican sweet bread on the dessert table, and several meat choices and so much of everything. The service was ok,but not as good as other Morelia Grills. I attribute it to the newness of the staff and location. Hopefully it will get better. The place is huge and impressive with Mexican paintings and plaster carvings.

Excellent food -- this place knows how to do fajitas. Even though this place is Anglo Mex, it's GOOD Anglo Mex

I went to Morelia last night for the first time (for any location) because it just moved in to my neighborhood. My experience is actually with the ToGo service. When I got my food the ToGo waiter just handed me the bag and sad thank you. A little strange that he didn't pull the items out and make sure everything was correct...but I can chalk that up to inexperience. Luckily everything was correct with the order...and it was pretty inexpensive...which was nice! I live 1/4 mile away so it took no time to get home and jump into the food. The queso was a little curdled but not to bad and once stirred was fine...and had a great flavor. The guacamole was a little unfresh as it had started to turn brown in areas. You could tell it was prepared earlier in the day and just scooped out of a bowl from the fridge...but this is cheap neighborhood mexican food so I was not upset. Refried beans were dry but flavorful. Could have used just a little stock or water to loosen up. The rice (which I never really care for) was fine as well. I order beef fajitas for my entree. The cut of meat was good. not too fatty and actually cooked to a very nice medium which I like for my beef fajitas. My one HUGE problem was that the fajitas were cold! and I don't mean cooled...I mean cooked earlier in the day and then thrown in the fridge and reheated...and not thoroughly. I threw all the meat in the microwave for 30 seconds and it was fine, but it was not a good first impression. Everything else was good. I am sure I will return but I will mention something to the wait staff or chef about the cold beef fajitas.

Love the new location. Very clean, dinner menu is great and of course, the margaritas have some kick to them. I did try the Buffett on Sunday and that was just ok. Stay away from brunch on Sunday and you should enjoy yourself.

Really 2 1/2 stars. It wasn't bad but definitely not good either. This review is for the weekend brunch. There were a lot of Mexican Chile dishes with beef and pork. If you like that kind of thing then you might like the buffet but everything else was kinda weird. The potatoes were too mushy and had too many things going on in them. Warning to vegetarians: the beans have chorizo and almost all of the dishes have dairy, eggs, or meat. No vegan options. But even to a meat eater (I went with one), he said it wasn't good. The only thing that saved this place was the omelet station and our waiter. She was nice but a little slow. We won't be going back for brunch. I really love brunch buffets and this one was kind of disappointing

My husband and I went for a date night. It was very loud, our server was terrible. They sat us at one table and we asked to move bc it was so loud. They moved us to a out of sight area. Our server took 15minutes to ask us our drink order. My husband and I still had to yell at each other just to have a conversation. The server was very vague about the special. Just a rude guy and I guess he wasn't interested in a tip. He asked us if we were interested in desert. They had chocolate covered strawberries with a special meal that night. I didn't get the special but was wanting some strawberries, they refused to sell me any bc it was for the special only. What happened to making the customer happy?? The next day I called to talk to a manager and told her what had happened, she apologized and said she would give me a $10 gift card. I told her I didn't want it and that they should do something better to make up for such a horrible night. I will not be going back very disappointed In this place. I loved it b4 it moved off 79.

Delicious!!! To start, the tortilla chips tasted homemade. My husband and I split the steak and pork ribs entree. The steak was deliciously seasoned and the rib meat was falling off the bone. The tortillas also tasted homemade. The restaurant is huge. It must have been a grocery store or something first. Definitely looks like they've spent a ton of money decorating. I think we've found our new spot while living temporarily in the RR.

If there were the option to give negative stars, I would! Worst brunch buffet I have ever been to. Poor selection and they can't even keep the 10 options they do have filled. Service was terrible. I already knew they had average Mexican food but I thought they could have a large selection brunch buffet -negative. It was 3 tables set up in a corner with one guy making omelets. This place is worse than the worse Mexican hole in wall restaurant in San Antonio. There are no options for good Mexican food in this area and this place is the biggest waste of money. I should have gone to Taco Bell.

Very nice inside, and large multi sections for big groups. Great salsa, good food, quesadillas were done well. Service was good. Got our chips n salsa within 2 minutes and once we ordered the food arrived fast.

The food was absolutely awesome. A little pricey for lunch, but a lot of food. I ate way to much. And the soapapillas were the best I've had in a long time

Extremely disappointed in the meal last night. Two of three meals came out wrong and one of them had to come out twice. This was only after waiting an extremely long time for the chips and salsa to come out. I will also say do not go here if you have a food allergy as they pay zero attention to detail. The item which had three takes out of the kitchen had the full load of cheese the first time even after explaining my daughter had a dairy allergy and cannot have cheese. It was followed by a piece of cheese almost hidden that would have seriously injured my daughter. What happened to food places taking pride in their cuisine?!? Our terrible meal was capped off by the waitress overcharging us adding an additional meal to our ticket. Will never go back!

One of my favorite places in the local area to get the basic cheesy and delicious tex-mex faire we all grew up with. Red and green salsas are excellent and fresh. I love their combo plates and beef fajita chimichanga. If you want that down home mexican food we all love and know isn't authentic, this is the place to go. Average prices. Try it out!!!

We used to go to the other location for work birthday lunches but since this one opened up we decided to go there since its closer. While the location is bigger and looks great the service was lousy. We called when they opened to make a 10 person reservation for noon. Not too large a party but we still wanted to get a big enough table and a waitress who could serve us quickly. They gave us a table for 8 and got confused when we asked for another one to be brought over. They kept bringing chips and salsa but never refilled our drinks. We had to ask to order and for our drinks to be refilled. The food took awhile to come but we expected that at lunch rush. The food wasn't that great and we had to ask for our checks and a to go box. They brought all our credit card receipts quickly but didn't bring change for anyone paying cash and we had to hunt down someone else to give us a to go box for the birthday girl. The people who paid cash had to ask for their change twice (I'm sorry but if lunch was $7.99 and they gave you a $20 each its a little presumptuous to think that's all your tip even if you were a great server). She told them she would be right back with it and then went to take orders at 2 separate tables before going to bring them their change. Several of us decided we will not be going back to this location.... I will be going back to the Pflugerville location IF I decide to go back...

This was good. Had the fish that were made with freshly grilled talapia. The corn tortillas were a little harder than I like for fiah tacos. The salsa, both green and red are good and worth coming to try. Came in early and so the service was well off. No real complaints just not a five star experience.

The food was absolutely horrible! Worst Mexican food ever. We had the enchiladas cremosas and the beef enchiladas. The chicken was hard and dry, the beef was salty as well as the chilè that came with our chips. The enchiladas cremosas left a bad after taste in my mouth. The waiter service was absolutely great as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant. Probably because it is still very new. We also has the queso flemeado with chicken and that was so greasy that there was at least an inch layer of grease that the item was served in. I really don't recommend this place unless you're all about the atmosphere which is a plus.

This was my first visit to the new Round Rock location. I've been to the Pflugerville location a few times and always enjoyed the food, but found the noise level to be overpowering. It was the same last night, but in fairness there was live music being played. I'll come back on another night when there hopefully isn't live music (Note: I did enjoy the Spanish language version of Achy Breaky Heart) to see how the noise level is then. As far as the food goes, it was excellent as always. I had a Vacquero combination plate and by the time I was done all that was left was a small patch of rice and beans. But let's back up to our arrival. We were seated quickly but just when it seemed like we'd been forgotten and I was about to abandon all hope, our server arrived to take our drink orders. Simple drinks - a pair of margaronas, hers with a Corona, mine with a Dos Equis. Time passed and our server returned to say that the drinks would be coming soon, then disappeared. She came back a short time later without drinks, but ready to take our meal order. A different server brought our meals and we were halfway through them before the drinks arrived, which was kind of annoying. But the drinks were big and powerful and that eased the pain a bit. We'll be back, hopefully to a quieter atmosphere and a more prompt drink delivery.

Very disappointed in the customer service and food quality. I came with a few colleagues for an evening of work discussion and dining. The primary server we had (wish I'd caught his name now) seemed very disconnected and overall a poor attitude. The requests were all handled timely but a smile at least would be nice. We had fajitas...If I was to actually try them again we would go with the typical mexican restaurant cuisine and gauge from there. Plenty of places for good fajitas so i doubt they will get another shot from me.

First let me say that we have been regulars at the Round Rock Morelia since the original location opened--never had an issues with drinks or food or service there. In fact, we have taken many folks there and we have referred many folks to the original location. With that said, our last two visits to the new location has been very unacceptable. Last night, the salsa was not edible! It tasted like salt free, watered down tomato sauce. It was awful with no taste at all. No salt, no cilantro, no smokey taste from grilled veggies like it has always had in the past. It was just "red water" last night. We ordered margaritas, as always, and this was the second time that they were severely lacking in tequila. At the old location, you could smell the tequila and if you had 3 regular sized ones, you might forget your name. Now, they are a kids frozen lime aid. No power at all--you know, like the watered down ones at Chuy's. We inquired about happy hour as we sat down and ordered the watered down margaritas and were told that on Mondays, "it is happy hour all night." When the bill came, we were overcharged with regular prices on the two margaritas even though we ordered before 6:00 PM AND we were told it was happy hour all night long. Not good. We wondered how many others paid the full price without noticing. Very unacceptable procedure to bait folks with happy hour prices, then charge them full price hoping they won't notice. The charro beans we were served were room temperature at best. We hate to quit going to what has been our favorite Tex Mex place in all of Central TX for a long time but unless things get "back to the future," it will be hard for us to give them another try. So very sad to see it go downhill like this.

Resturant appeared to be not very busy. But we thought we would give it a try anyway. The decor is amazing inside, i would have never guessed from looking at the outside. It took a while just to get the chips and salsa, and our waitress neglected us for 15 mins! I thought surely this is a sign that our food will take forever. Finally my boyfriend was able to flag down the waitress to put in our food order, I went ahead and asked for another drink (figuring we would be forgotten again). Within 5 mins our food was out! It was delish!!!! But The rice seemed dry. Waiting for our check, Again, the waitress was no where to be found. Great food, bad service.

We were anxious to try the new Morelia. They have spent a fortune decorating the inside of this huge space. What's it look like? Picture a Mayan temple decorated by Liberace. A bit over the top, but nice and new. The green salsa was pretty tasteless, but the rest of the meal was very good. The staff needs more training, but it was an overall good experience.

Last night we were able find a sitter so my wife and I could have dinner alone so we decide to go to Morelias. We've never been to this new location. It was more like a club/restaurant. Music waz blasting we coudnt hear ourselves or the waiter! Well when ever he was around! As we are being seated the hostess told us to ask our waiter about the Valentines special. So we asked him and he said it was beef and chicken fajitas. Didnt sound like a special to me so we didnt get it. Food waz descent but hard to enjoy with the loud music. We ate in a hurry so we could just get out. After our meal my wife asked for chocolate covered strawberries as she saw other customers eating some. So 15mins later the waiter tells us the strawberries only come with the special. He said the special was beef and chicken fajitas so we just leave! As i walk up front i see a sign for Valentines special and it waz beef n chicken fajitas, tilapia, shrimp famoso, 2 glasses of wine and chocolate covered strawberries for $49.99!!!And the waiter told us it waz just beef n chicken fajitas! Was very disappointed waz our waiter and and poor service! We wouldve got the special but did not know what it was!!! Very disappointed about this place!!!

We used a groupon-Service was horrible and our food took about 45 minutes to be served. The kids were starving and it wasn't anything exceptional. I'm sticking with my favorite: Mesa Rosa!

Here in the middle of Texas it's very often you pop apon just another tex-mex resturaunt with the same ol menu but here even the verde sauce beats a lot of the "fashionable" food trucks. Now no one can beat home-made enchiladas or tortillas cause mom or your neighbors put the love into it. It's rare at "a-typical" tex-mex resturaunt that you have stiff margaritas with fresh food. But the bar area gets hot and stuffy sooo from reading the previous posts maybe ventilation needs to be checked, just sayin.

We love the Morelia's in Pflugerville, so decided to try the Round Rock location on day while we were in the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights. The food was good, but could be better ...we've had great food at the other location, so we know it's possible. My food was good, but my tamale was hardened as if it had been placed in the microwave too long. I asked for Mango/Peach iced tea and the server didn't know what I was talking about, so decided she was just going to bring me a water (??)... The kids menu has no pricing on it, just a listing of the food options and a list of beverages underneath. When I asked our server if the drink comes with the kids meal, she said, "Yes", but when we received our bill, we were charged $2.99 for our kids drink. (the kids meal is $4.99 by the way)-- Overall service was slow, inconsistent and not very attentive...our tip reflected our dissatisfaction., unfortunately. My recommendation to management would be to take trip to the Morelia's in Pflugerville and note their service practices. Otherwise this location in RR will not last long.

Great lunch specials until 4. The place is like an Aztec village. They have 10 different lunch specials for $7.99.

This place was so disappointing. They used to be located off of 79 in Round Rock and then moved to this new location. Their food was great at the old place, but now it is just terrible. We had gone once before after they first opened and were disappointed. We decided to give them another try today and what a mistake that was. Worse than ever. First, when we walked in at noon, it was freezing. Everyone was wearing their coats, including the staff. They told me that the heat had only just been turned on. I ordered the chicken fajitas and when they came out, they weren't sizzling, like most fajitas do. I had to ask the waiter if he would bring me tortillas to go with the fajitas and a plate. I can't imagine how you can mess up chicken fajitas, but they managed to. My husband's meal was mediocre at best. Bottom line, we left most of the food there. I am not a fan of giving someone a bad review, but this was truly horrible. Freezing inside on a very cold day, cold fajitas and terrible service. It is a shame because the interior is decorated very nice, but the food and wait staff certainly don't match the nice interior. They obviously did not bring the great cooks or wait staff from the old place over. Such a shame. There are way too many great Mexican restaurants with superior food in Round Rock that would be a better choice.

Was hoping the food would knock me off my feet so I would forget about the long hair in my salsa...but it was just average Mexican food. Was surprised the manager did not come over to apologise about the hair and the waitress seemed as if it was an often occurrence. I had the combo plate with a chilli relleno and beef taco. It was ok, but definitely had better. Salsa was good (minus the hair) but the chips seemed stale. Too many other Mexican food restaurants in the area to go back to this one.

  • Teresa C.

Terrible service, terrible food and margaritas. Just lousy. Chips were old, both salsas were tasteless and watered down. Chili con queso was watery. The chips that came with the queso were not bad and the tortillas were handmade but those were the two somewhat bright spots in the meal. Taco Bell would have been better. The place was empty and the service was still slow and inaccurate.

Its non greasy mexican food. Food is average, somewhat bland to the style Im used to. The new location is pretty, its usually busy. I had a lunch plate that was ok and about $9. There are other local places nearby Id recommend over this one. Service was average. Like my 3 star rating, it was just ok.

First time in at new location. Was a little turned off just upon entering the supermarket sliding doors to an elaborate "mayan" temple decor. I felt like I was in a bad Las Vegas casino restaurant. It was a bit over the top. But - I didn't let that stray me. I went to the table and ordered a Skinny Strawberry Margarita. Eh....not bad. Ordered some queso, and it came out super runny with no flavor. Beef Fajitas were next. They were so so. Again, no flavor. Hubs ordered the Chicken Fajitas, and did not even finish them...which is rare for him. All in all - i may return in the future.....maybe they just need some time to get everything together in their new location.

I visited Morelia for the first time on August 9 with my daughter and my sister. We all loved it!!! Everything was great- from the fresh chips and salsa to the entrees to their fabulous margaritas! Our waiter, a young man named Jose, was attentive, helpful, friendly-- all that you would want in a waiter. None of us can think of anything to complain about-- my daughter even said the sinks in the restroom were awesome! :). I'll be taking the rest of my family to my new favorite restaurant this weekend!

We had a going away lunch for a co-worker, and it was a large party. The manager and waiter were wonderful. The food was great, fast, and correct. With 32 people, that can be tough. They had a space available for us that was private, and the waiter did little extras, like bring plates for our cake, and take group pictures for us. Thank you for a wonderful lunch, with good food.

Tortillas are the worst; in my 53 years of eating them ( mom's, fast food, store bought, etc.) these were a cooked greasy paste...hmmm, someone's first day on the job? Ordered Carnitas. Mexican food has permeated every US state I've been to, but come on Texas....Carnitas are carnitas, period. Morelia's carnitas were two overly, deep fried pork chops--inedible because my teeth weren't strong enough. We should have known something was up when our 5 entrees were served without gloves and no hot-plate warning--every entree was cold, which is odd because there weren't a lot of customers for such a huge place with nice Mexican decor, it only had a handful of tables. Lots of dining room staff, very nice and attentive....but not a lot of customers at 6:30pm. Did our memo get lost in the mail? RECOMMENDATION: If you have to go because of family like me, order the biggest margarita they have and the cheapest entree--so far they didn't manage to screw up the liquor--yet....

I have tried several Mexican restaurants. This one is at participating with the best one! Why? Consistent Quality from day of the week to through lunch and dinner. Everything have been very good: Chicken Fajitas Flauta Tacos Shrimp with Jalopeno and Quest Very Good Chips and Salsa and also Aa Green Jalopeno salsa which is not extremely hot! Great Big Delicious Margaritas served by a Friendly Staff :)

I came here for the first time today with my 2 kids. We arrived at about 430pm and seated right away. Wasn't busy at all. Apparently there is music after 8pm, from what I saw. Anyways.....I would give the food 4 stars and the overall service from the staff 2 stars. The chips, salsa, and the rest of our food was very good! Our server however...not so much. Our food was dropped off by Trevor, very nice gentleman who was the only one who smiled and actually greeted us. Our server (Araceli, whose name I got by looking at our ticket at the very end of our service) took our order but NEVER came back to check on us after we received our food... Only when it was time to pay. With this being our first time, I felt that she could've taken 30 seconds to stop by our table to see how ever thing turned out and if there was anything else we needed. There were only 6 other tables seated and SEVERAL staff members there so no excuse as to why they couldn't take the time to check on the tables. They need better guidance from management on how to properly serve and greet their guests. And I thought it was strange that no one in the restaurant had name tags on?! Why?! I would return for the food but the serve could really improve.

Really nicely decorated large restaurant and we were seated immediately. Service was fast but not friendly - a smile and any bit of eye contact would go a long way. The chips and salsa were good and kept full and my husband really liked the chimichanga he ordered. I ordered a combo plate that came with a cheese enchilada and pork carnitas - the enchilada was pretty decent but the pork was really dry so I didn't eat it. We both really liked the beans and rice which can often be bland at many restaurants. Overall it was a pretty average visit but I think there are lots of better options in Austin.

Wow. Just had the beef fajita quesadillas. Unbelievably good. It came with home made tortillas, grilled beef, and melty cheese, all tasting just right! I also was served a beer in a schooner! Awesome. This place has really good Mexican food. You must try it. Highly recommended!

If this place could get their service up to snuff, it would be 5 stars. And that is a real shame! The food is wonderful. I have loved everything I've had here. I travel nearby for work a lot, and Morelia's is a stop at least once, if not twice, a week when in town. I just wish their service was better! The servers are friendly enough, just incompetent. I don't like it when I have to go wandering around the [nearly empty] restaurant lo find someone to bring a refill, or the extra tortillas I ordered 15 minutes ago, or whatever. But damn, I do love the food.

I love their fajitas, don't get me wrong but this is for my experience in trying to reserve a space at this facility. So I recently got married, but after spending so much on the wedding and honeymoon we weren't about to go all out for a rehearsal dinner also. We had a lot of family that was coming into town but because something can always go wrong, you never know who is actually going to make it in on time, etc. I filled out the online request for more information about their catering (because there wasn't an option about reserving a space). I got a call back and because I am in nursing school its very difficult for me to get to a phone sometimes. I was able to return Carlos phone call, but mentioned I may not be able to answer so if he could send me an email with more information, and price to reserve a room (for everyone paying dutch). A week goes by .........nothing. I called back, and was able to get speak to him, he said he'd call me back at 11:30. Ok. He calls back to tell me that he would allow us to rent a space for $150, IF we can guarantee 20+ people. Apparently, the norm is a minimum of 30. So even with paying $150 to reserve a room, if I cant get 20 people to show, what happens then? We ended up going elsewhere but it was very sad that one of my fave places to eat: 1) took a week and change to get me an answer that could have been given in minutes 2) I couldn't move fwd since I couldn't guarantee 20 bodies in seats

Great food. Not so great service. 4 starts only because the quality of food is great and always consistent. I went for the first time about 5 months ago. It was a weeknight (not friday) around 7:00 and possibly 10 customers. The service was horrible. I waited about 10 minutes and I asked a staff member walking by if they could get my server and when he arrived he approached me as I was a bother and asked "did you need anything?" When he first approached...yes. Water & to order my food. Did he think I would ask for a kidney? My entire time the service was less than stellar. I went again this past Friday and same thing. There were or customers, but took at least 10 minutes for a server and while she was very friendly and polite she was extremely negligent in checking on us while we had our drinks and waited for our food. The crazy part of when we got our food the place had a typical busy Friday night dinner crowd and she came way too often to check on us. A little too late for that. If the food sucked I wouldn't visit again, but the food makes up for the service...or lack there of. *ive also had to go orders and every menu item I've had is fantastic. Polo a la parrilla, tacos, taco salad, stuffed avocado, enchilada dinner. All great! A little more rice would be great, but I'm just greedy ;)

Love the atmosphere at both locations! It's just noisey when the live band plays but just sit at a distance and you're good. I love their fajitas although R.R. Location gives more and has better service! :)

I looked forward to the Sunday Brunch Buffet. Arrived at ~1p to find half of the bowls of hot food were either removed or empty with the residuals burning in the bottom. The desert trays were empty. The buffet was very poorly lit - could not see the food. A guy was standing there the whole time for some reason, but never did or offered to do anything. I was back in my car by 1:40p. The buffet remained half empty the entire time - nothing replenished. Tortillas stuck together badly. The food that was there tasted good - had pools of orange grease in my plate. Chicken items were full of tiny back and rib bones. Quite a negative overall experience - complete disrespect for customers. This place needs a manager. I don't plan to return.

Food flavor and presentation was enjoyable. Sat in patio area and discovered no service was scheduled for this Friday evening at 7, with beautiful 85 degree weather. Strange. Staff comments, they were overwhelmed with patrons. There was a short wait. And the place was bustling. Once management realizes they are having a great start, they better open the checkbook and adequately staff, or they will be another flash in the stiff competitive restaurant business. Restaurants have to have GREAT staff members with accommodating attitudes, GREAT recipes, GREAT presentation and GREAT atmosphere. If management can provide this to their patrons, then a wait will be the standard. Oh, they also had a small musician ensemble. Five stars when the management of staff is corrected.

I was overcharged. The waitress argued with me. The manager came over and called me a liar. Then asked, "so you are calling my server a liar?" Horrible customer service. I was offered to get a free drink but I explained that I didn't want to have too much to drink and drive. I was given a gift card...but not refunding the full amount that I was overcharged.

Great food, good drinks and fun atmosphere. The weekends are definitely not the place for a quiet dinner. Service could be better but the food makes up for it.

The food was alright, but the service suuuucked. From the start - Dear Hostess, I know you were super busy texting for the 10 minutes we stood up front. I watched you and it seemed like an intense conversation, hope you weren't getting dumped. But why would you walk someone on crutches passed 4 perfectly good tables to get me to sit furthest from the door? Use your brain, youngin'! Our server was sweet, but never there. The managers walked by more than she did. And I'm writing this as I'm sitting here waiting to pay. Its taking THAT long. Won't be back to this Morelia.

The downside is the service is spotty...as in from mediocre to crappy. Upside is that it's extremely tasty food with a very extensive menu. Probably some of the best Tex-Mex I've had in Tex. Yummy chips and salsa. 4 star food 2 star service.

It's the best Mexican brunch I had so far. Everything is really authentic; mole, menudo, asados, tripas tacos, even homemade tortillas (similar to the tortillas they sell in Mexico) if you would like to try some Mexican food, I really recommend this brunch, you get to try a lot of Mexican plates, I'm sure you would love them. Also we were talking to the manager and she told us that the owner cooks all these meals with that authentic flavor. Also the price is really cheap with all these food. I'm Mexican and I approved this brunch!

The el vaquero plate was very good, came with beef and chicken fajitas, a ground beef taco and a chicken enchilada. Our friend Bernice had and enjoyed the cheese enchilada plate, my wife had a stand alone fried ground beef avocado, she loved it. The service was a little slow today, took a star off for that.

I ordered their Monterrey Jack Enchiladas, They were wonderful! Our waiter was also great!! He was so polite! He was training a new worker and he was so attentive. We had a table reserved for my fiance and i at 8 PM, and they seated us right away but they werent busy anyway. Very friendly staff! Food was out lightening speed!! The salsa and Verde sauce wasnt exactly great but it was okay. Otherwise, it was wonderful!!

We have given this restaurant three different chances. Terrible customer service! A customer shouldn't have to wait 20 min to receive water and chips. I had to go find a manager and ask for water. Then I had to go to the bar to order my drinks. Waitress finally showed up after all my complaining. A couple of guys at the bar said that this restaurant is notorious for bad service, so they sit at the bar to eat and drink. They recommend this technique.

Got a Togo order when we got there the order was forgotten. They said they would make it quick . When we came to work to eat it the shrimp nachos were cold and the chicken soup was not the size asked for! The chicken had the skin left on it also. The rice was just bite sized. I own a Mexican restaurant in tarpon springs Florida and I would never serve food like this. On top of it all the manager was very rude. I come here all the time on lunch but this was a very bad experience !

Morelia we have missed you! We went to the new location last night - it is beautiful and lots more room. They even have a party room in the back. Hubby and I had combo plates, and my aunt had enchiladas - substitute queso for sauce? No problem! Our son had his "usual" - rice, beans and tortillas. Everything was delicious and we all cleaned our plates! There was a slight mix up with my husband's order and the manager came and took care of us right away. We were regulars at the old location, and I expect we will be at the new location too.

We normally go to Casa G's to eat Mexican good but decided to try this place out last Friday night. We were so happy we did. I never thought I would have a better carne asada plate than Casa G's but my wife and I both agreed that we had. They had live music, dancing and top notch service. Even on a Friday night when they were at their busiest we never our drinks were never empty. I would like to tell everyone to go here, but we don't like waits on Fridays. So go to Casa G's and get the second best.

Food - 4 stars Frozen margarita - 5 stars Service - 2 stars Went here a couple weeks ago and enjoyed the fajita plate (it had mushrooms and other stuff with it) and the frozen margarita had the perfect consistency (not too icy and didn't melt). However, the service could have been much better. I finished my water and my wife's water and still waited awhile for a refill. Luckily, the food and margarita will bring me back here at least one more time.

I have been to a few of their locations but this was the first time here. The food was fine but the service was not. Very slow and not personable. The place wasn't really that busy for a lunch hour, but it took me about an hour and a half for lunch. However, the manager stopped by and checked on us once and corrected my order and brought me some water.

Ok, I hope they will stay this strong with customer service and food quality. Had the carne asada and it came fast and was delicious too :) This is how the Stonehill Ctr location used to be in the beginning bu then they quickly went downhill in my opinion. The ambiance is a tad overly done with the heavy decor and the sliding doors remind me that this used to be a supermarket but if they keep the food quality & service up I will keep coming.

This place was so bad I don't even want to write about it. Poor service and poor quality of food. The urinal had dried vomit on it. This place was dirty and not worth going to.

There are a few truths in life that you don't want to mess with: one, never get between a woman and chocolate, and two, never get between a woman and her Friday margarita. These guys didn't mess with my chocolate (that was an afternoon thing) but it did take about twenty minutes for my margarita to come out. I had to ask about it; they had forgotten. Boo. Keep in mind I was already grouchy because the location on yelp took me to Chuys. It is off Hester's Crossing and is definitely not Chuys, so don't use the map location provided here. Yes, it's huge and has plenty of seating. I guess it used to be a Grapevine Market; they kept the automatic sliding doors which is kind of weird. I thought this review was going to be poor, but they really turned the experience around. This location has a great manager, and the service is top notch. I'm willing to deal with the growing pains of a new restaurant as long as I'm treated like a human in the process (check!) The pork enchiladas were exactly what I needed for my Friday night. (Beans were left off the plate but the manager fixed that quickly). That margarita that was a late arrival? It was an extra-big-ass margarita and I was a happy girl. My buddy had the shrimp fried avocado and loved his dish as well. My one complaint that I haven't let go of: they had a water situation. Like an empty glass for forty minutes type if situation. We did not appear to be the only table facing the same problem, either. The people demand water, guys! Give us water! I'd definitely go back just for the food and the smiling faces. The menu is huge, the margaritas are delicious, and it's close to home so this might just become my new weekend spot.

Must have caught them on an off day? Service was prompt and drink glasses only empty once. Had the fajitas as suggested by numerous other reviews.. they were as good as expected. Waitress was April... 3rd week and did a good job.

Great location.. But the service was terrible.. And they still charged us 26% grats.. For some reason they have an issue with wait staff.. Manager didn't seem to want to help at all. And the area they sat our party was extremely hot. I won't be going there again..

Dining room smells like a urinal cake and the food is poor quality. Too much good Mexican food up here to be wasting time and money on mediocrity.

I've been four times over the past two months. The first time was with a large group of about 30 for a birthday party. We only had one server for the entire group, but he was wonderful. Our food was all correct and he was very prompt. The three times I've been since have been progressively worse. The service was never very good. It took ten or fifteen minutes for a server to greet us and take our drink orders. But the food has always been very good. Today was very disappointing. We arrived at 1:30, and there were very few other patrons in the restaurant. Still, we waited over five minutes for our server to take our drink orders. Our food arrived in only about ten minutes. However, my fajita chicken burrito was lukewarm at best on the inside and flat out cold on the outside. It was also incredibly salty and otherwise pretty flavorless. My husband's chicken chimichanga was a generous size, but the chicken was very tough. He always finishes his meal, but he left about a quarter of the chimichanga and all of the sides untouched. Fairly sure that will be our last trip to this location.

I'm a server myself, so mind you I have patience galore and rarely complain. But the service was HORRIBLE. We went on a slow today night.... No refills on drinks or chips, no good check back, and general poor communication. The food had great flavor, but out of the 5 entrees we ordered came out cold. My bacon wrapped shrimp were dense and chewy... the onions on the fajita pan were cold! No one stooped by to see how it was until most were finished picking at their meals and all of our glasses wetter completely empty. I will give this place one more try because of their great location and wise variety selection,I just hope management makes their presence on the floor to help the new server with a 6 take section.

We always sit at the bar and get excellent service from the bartenders. They will customize any drink, including blender drinks. It sucks when places will only serve the stuff that comes out of a margarita machine--everything here is made fresh from scratch. Chips and salsa are good and plentiful, and they have a huge menu that includes some healthy options such as grilled vegetable fajitas. They have a private room that is good for parties and meetings. A DJ plays a fun mix on Friday and Saturday nights (Selena, Santana, etc.), my only complaint is that the music is a bit too loud when the DJ is there.

Had the best experience last night. Tired after work and stopped to place a to go order and was immediately helped by Emily. She was very friendly and everything I asked for in my order was perfect. Food was delicious! Looking forward to going back and asking for Emily again and enjoying a great meal!

If you come to this place & sit @ the tables in the bar area, watch out for the blonde waitress with tatts! She's VERY rude & has an attitude!!! I would sit down somewhere else! She sucks! I'm giving it 3 stars just because the awful service we had. Food might be great but a business foundation is in the customer service. They might need to send this woman to undergo training again.

Our first time at the new location. First impression, it's HUGE. Seriously, one of the biggest restaurants I've ever been in. Bonus points for the sinks in the bathroom, very cool. There was no wait, and our server Alexandra was really good and very personable. Kids both has cheese quesadillas w/rice and beans. I had the enchiladas picosas, and my wife had the cheese enchiladas. All were good. With a mojito and a Pacifico, our total bill was $41. Only knock is how cold it was; both my kids used napkins as blankets. Other than that, we enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

Morelias Round Rock is now open in the Hester's Crossing location by Golds Gym. - Be forewarned that the service staff is brand new so be patient and upfront with them when asking questions and ordering. I'm trying to get them to put my drink on their secret menu. Tell the bar tender and Yamil and Chuy you want Mackeroney's Summer Sipper as a special beverage! Austin is already Tex Mex heaven so it's very hard to distinguish restaurants between each other in terms of taste, texture and atmosphere. Food quality service and price are the main factors when going out. Morelias is a bit on the higher end of these factors. Food Quality is good. Out of several visits to the chain, I have yet to run into any old pico or bad salsa; no brown lettuce or stale chips. Service tends to run a bit slow however it's mostly due to the fact this place is usually busy. The only time it was slow was during a rainy sunday with no events going on. Atmosphere is where Morelias stands out. More of a South American / Mayan (forgive my ignorance if it's not the right tribe) kind of decor, definitely not the normal bright colored walls covered in sombreros, ponchos and dia de los muerto trinkets. Texture and Tastes are a bit on the different side as they serve many different plates, most of which are delicious and huge portions. You won't leave here hungry. Happy hour specials are by mouth only, with specials throughout the week. Ask your server or bar tender. Definitely try the Victoria's Secret margarita!

Mexican food in Texas is very subjective. You might hit a 4 star place and hate it and like the 2 star restaurant you've been avoiding. With that being said.....I like this place. The food is consistently good and never disappoints. Aside from the atrocious decor I have no complaints. The service is respectable and parking is always a snap!

I only eat at this location because its a few blocks away with the for-warned knowledge that the service is going to be Horrible and take Forever! Not once that i have been here has it be a great experience. The hostess and staff have a "whatever careless" attitude....... I Highly suggest taking the 5 min extra drive up Louis Henn/45 to the one in Pflugerville if you want decent customer service!!!!!!

I have always loved the Morelia on 79 but was worried about the taste since my friends didnt like the Morelia in Pflugerville. I must say both times I have ate at the new location in Round Rock (off Hesters Crossing) I have enjoyed it. First time I had fajitas and second time the fajita enchilada with chicken flauta lunch special. It was good. Their chips and salsa is addicting. Love it! Try them!

Stopped by Sunday for dinner. Pretty slow. Server filled drinks on time. However hubby and I got fajitas. This Is first Mexican place that doesn't include items/Or charges extra Meaning no cheese. Bell pepper and onions were extra. Really??? (

This place has excellent service! From the host to the wait staff and the manager! Salsa was great and the prices are decent! The best retried beans I've had to date in Texas. The food wasn't super hot in temperature which was my only opportunity that I felt they had. Other than that I most certainly will be back.

Four stars for the food. Two stars for the service. Or should I say, complete lack there of. My spouse and I came here for Sunday lunch so we both expected it to be bustling. Well, it was steady, sure, but I've been to places just as big if not bigger, that had a full house and still managed to take good care of their customers. That "customer care" factor just isn't covered here at Morelia. Everyone seemed ill-trained and confused. I know this place hasn't been here long so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Boy, was I wrong for that. Our waitress's area was all left with no drinks, mixed up orders, we even saw a table get up and leave the restaurant because she royally messed up everything they had. She kept trying to make it seem like she had this impeccable memory and failed to write anything down, only to have to keep coming back to tables and asking what people ordered. Really? You have a pen and pad for a reason!! She disappeared constantly and always came back empty handed or with the wrong items for all the tables in her section. When it was time to leave, we asked for a to-go box and our waitress disappeared yet again, for an extended amount of time. We finally asked someone who looked like a manager for two to-go boxes and I watched him get them as he sped off in the opposite direction with the boxes, never to be seen again for the duration of the time we were there. Eventually, our waitress came back with one to-go box and fumbled through her pockets for our check. To sum up this poor experience, Morelia's has a LOT of kinks to work out before they can even resemble a well-functioning restaurant. The food was good, but the service definitely made me lose my appetite. I don't think we will ever return. What a shame.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
